My name is Marie Grande. I am a mom of 2 beautiful girls, 10 & 13 years old, and live in the beautiful midwest. I have worked as an educator with Beautycounter for 6 years and am completely in love with our mission and our dedication to safety. 

 

I found Beautycounter while looking for a transparent product line for my youngest daughter. She has severe food allergies and we read labels daily to keep her safe. As I started learning more about the personal care industry I was shocked! "I did not know what I did not know."

 

I partnered with Beautycounter to become an educator and consultant. I wanted to be a voice that demanded change in the current lack of legislation of toxic chemicals that are found in many personal care products on the market.

 

As someone who worked in the industry for over 13 years, prior to joining Beautycounter, I was absolutely embarrassed that I hadn't educated myself in the area of personal care. I had already made the changes in the way we were eating and swapped out my cleaning products for cleaner versions, but had not given much thought about my own personal care products that I was using daily (15+ items counting all showering products, cosmetics, personal hygiene, and general care -- each containing hundreds of harmful chemicals). To top it off, I hadn't been reading all the labels on the products my girls were using -- only looking at ingredients my daughter was allergic to, not even considering the toxicity of the products!

 

I knew this was my calling and I needed to be a voice for change. My family deserves better, my friends deserve better, we all deserve better so I jumped on board and began sharing the knowledge I was learning with everyone and this train is not stopping any time soon!
